This kit consists of two nickasil plated alloy cylinders, two graphite forged, light weight pistons (each weight reduced by approx 140g), the corresponding sets of piston rings and gudgeon pins. Supplied with stainless steel pushrod tubes fitted. A top end gasket set is also supplied with this kit. They are designed for straightforward installation in about two hours. Benefits include an increase in power from 50 to 60hp with the R80GS or 64hp for the on road models (using standard BMW 1000cc barrels and pistons with 800cc heads can result in a decrease in engine power output!) In addition to increased power outputs the kits reduce emissions and fuel consumption and produce a much smoother spread of useable torque throughout the rev range. More details available on request.
